Application Methodology

Step No. 1: Surface Preparation

The substrate/surface must be sound, clean and allow good surface adhesion so the material can bond well into the concrete. Horizontal areas should have a rough surface. Smooth surfaces must be mechanically abraded to achieve good bonding.

Clean the surface to remove all loose particles. Repair all cracks, honeycombs, and blemishes on the concrete surface. Crack and wall joints should be treated with Aso Joint Tapes.

Step No. 2: Product Mixing

AquaArm TG comes in a pre-weighed composite bag of powder (Component A) and polymer liquid (Component B). Mix in the ratio of 7.5:2.5 parts by weight in a clean container using a slow-speed drill (350-400 rpm) fitted with a paddle.

Mix for 3-4 minutes until a homogeneous, lump-free mix is achieved. Add powder to the liquid slowly (do not add liquid to powder). Avoid over-mixing.

Step No. 3: Product Application

The mixed material is to be applied on the prepared pre-wetted surface (SSD conditions) in 2 coats.

The first coat should be applied horizontally, and the second coat should be applied vertically after 4–6 hours at 30°C.

AquaArm TG should typically be applied at 1.5–2.5 kg/m² (subject to application requirements).

By brush

AquaArm TG is applied using a soft bristle brush. The application is simple and manual.

Curing of AquaArm TG

  • Self-curing under normal conditions.
  • Can be exposed to rain (vertical surfaces) after ~4 hours at 30°C.
  • Can be exposed to rain (horizontal surfaces) after ~12 hours at 30°C.
  • Foot traffic allowed after ~2 days at 30°C.

Health & Safety

AquaArm TG may cause irritation due to its Cementitious nature. On job sites, Applicators should wear protective clothing, gloves, face mask, safety shoes and helmets.
