Description

ReArm Bond 4031 is a two-component, solvent-free, 100% solid epoxy-resin based bonding agent (Adhesive) with a non-sag, paste-like consistency. It provides high-strength structural and waterproof bonding for horizontal, vertical, and overhead applications on a wide range of construction substrates.

Features and Benefits

  • High early and final strength (compressive, flexural, tensile & bond)
  • Bonds effectively to both dry and damp substrates
  • Suitable for horizontal, vertical, and overhead applications
  • Excellent adhesion to mortar, steel, aluminium, glass, and more

Uses

ReArm Bond 4031 is a multipurpose structural adhesive used for :
  • Fixing dowels and starter bars
  • Blow hole filling in concrete
  • Filling and sealing static cracks
  • Fixing surface injection packers
  • Bonding carbon fiber wraps to concrete surfaces

Packaging

6 Kg Bucket Consist of Component A & Component B

Consumption

1.6 Kg per Sq.M. (subject to application requirement)

Application Methodology

Surface Preparation:

The surface must be sound, clean, and free from dust, laitance, grease, rust, and other adhesion-inhibiting contaminants. Depending on the substrate condition, prepare the surface using scrabbling, grit blasting, water blasting, or shot blasting.

  • Substrate Requirements:

Cement-Based Surfaces (Concrete):

    • Minimum concrete grade: C20/25
    • Minimum substrate age: 14 days
    • Tensile adhesion strength: > 1.5 N/mm²

Iron & Steel Surfaces:

  • Abrade to a bright white metal finish in accordance with Swedish Standard SA 2½

Priming :

ReArm Bond 4031 does not require priming and can be applied directly to the prepared substrate.

Mixing :

ReArm Bond 4031 is supplied in a pre-measured mixing ratio.
Pour Component B (hardener) completely into Component A (resin) and mix mechanically using a slow-speed drill (300–400 RPM) until a uniform, lump-free mixture is obtained.
Scrape the sides and bottom, transfer to a clean container, and re-mix for 3 minutes. Ensure the material temperature does not exceed 25°C during mixing.

Method of Application :

Apply ReArm Bond 4031 evenly on the prepared substrate using a trowel, steel float, or notched trowel, maintaining a minimum adhesive thickness of 2.0 mm.
For anchoring applications, fill the prepared hole completely, compacting the material to avoid air pockets. Insert the reinforcement bar with a gentle twisting motion until fully embedded.

Curing :

Protect the uncured product from rain and running water. Once fully hardened, no curing is required.

Health & Safety

Once cured, ReArm Bond 4031 is harmless. Component B is corrosive—avoid skin contact and wear gloves and eye protection. Clean spills with water and soap (add 10% household vinegar if required). In case of eye contact, rinse immediately and seek medical attention.

Annotation

  • Always mix full packs only; do not mix part packs.
  • Protect applied material from rain and moving water until initial cure.
  • Low temperatures may reduce workability and extend curing time; high temperatures shorten pot life.
  • Arm Bond 4031 is classified as non-hazardous as per applicable regulations.
  • Applications not covered in this data sheet require prior approval from MYK Arment Technical Services.
