Description
AquaArm SPU SPL is single component moisture-cured high polymerized polyurethane based, bitumen free waterproof coating. It can react with the moisture in the air and forms a non-toxic and highly elastomeric waterproof coating.

Application Methodology
Step No. 1: Substrate Preparation
All Surfaces: The substrate to be coated shall be strong, smooth, clean and dry. Any defects in concrete viz. depressions, honeycomb shall be treated with Polymer modified mortar as per manufacturer’s recommendation.
The external and internal corners are made to be arc.
Internal corner: D ≥ 50mm
External corner: D ≥ 10mm
Brush the first layer then pave the non-woven reinforced layer. Permeate the reinforced layer with the material thoroughly.
Step No. 2: Primer Application
Apply FloArm Primer PUDC on dry concrete surface (ensure moisture level does not exceed 5%) by the help of brush or airless spray. The coating shall be covered with protective screed. Care should be taken to avoid any damage to coating while providing protection systems.
Recommended Coverage: 200–400 gms/m² – single coat application.
Drying Time: Touch dry surface in approx. 30 min at 27°C, Relative humidity 50%.
(*Dosage depending upon surface condition; on porous surfaces dosage may increase).
Step No. 3: Product Application
Firstly, apply the stirred polyurethane waterproofing coating over special positions like the external and internal reinforcement as well as the orifice of the through-wall pipe.
Apply the first coat using a brush or roller and ensure coating spreads evenly on the substrate. Application of the second coat shall be done once the first coat is cured. Recoating time will be around 12 hours at 28°C.
The second coat shall be in the perpendicular direction to the first coat.
Storage and Shelf Life
- Best before 6 months from the date of manufacture, when stored in cool and dry place at original, unopened condition.
Attention
Once opened the material shall be used within 30 minutes. Long-term storage will result in a thin film formation on the surface. The same shall be removed before application. Keep the storage area / construction site well ventilated. The operator should wear protective equipment such as safety helmet, gloves and working shoes. Avoid spillage on eyes and skin which could cause irritation. The material shall be away from fire source.
Avoid application of the coating in snowy, rainy conditions and during sand storms. Application shall be done at temperatures 3 degree above dew point.
Limitations
AquaArm SPU SPL should not be applied on surfaces with a risk of rising dampness and should not be applied at temperature below 5°C minimum application life for the opened pack is up to 3 hours if stored in closed and dry container.
Water test should be done after the membrane is fully cured. During the peak temperature of the day in the summer season, working area should be covered to prevent direct sun effects.
