Description
ArmGrout Inject PU1 is a solvent-free polyurethane injection resin used for water leakage sealing and crack injection in concrete structures When injected with ArmGrout Inject PU1 Catalyst, the PU resin reacts with water and expands rapidly to form a visco-elastic polyurethane foam, effectively stopping active water ingress.
Features and Benefits
- Ready-to-use, easy to apply polyurethane injection resin
- Very high foam expansion on contact with water
- Rapid formation of visco-plastic, solid PU foam for immediate crack and void sealing
- Excellent compatibility with bitumen membranes and joint tapes
Uses
- ArmGrout Inject 1 is used for sealing water-bearing cracks and joints in concrete and stone.
- Stops active water inflow from cracks, joints, and construction gaps in concrete structures
- ArmGrout Inject PU1 is useful for Compacting and stabilizing loose stones.

Application Methodology
ArmGrout Inject PU1 – Product Overview
ArmGrout Inject PU1 reacts with the air humidity and with water. Therefore, a skin may form on the surface of the liquid in open cans, which does not affect the injection procedure.
Generally, ArmGrout Inject PU1 is injected into the water-bearing areas by means of injection nozzles and handers, or motor-driven pumps.
When in contact with water, ArmGrout Inject PU1 foams up strongly and hardens. If the zone to be waterproofed contains insufficient water, additional injection of water – preliminarily or subsequently – will support the reaction and hardening process.
The application is to be done in accordance with the ZTV-rises or Riled of the Daft (regulations for crack injection).
Reaction Control
Adaptable reaction time is possible by varying the catalyst ratio between 2% to 10%.
Reaction with water results in the formation of a semi-flexible polyurethane foam which is hydrophobic and chemically resistant.
The reaction time can be set from 30 seconds to 12 minutes. (See table of reaction times.)
Recommendation
We recommend storing the product for at least 12 hours prior to use at a minimum temperature of 15°C to ensure the ideal processing temperature of 15°C to 30°C.
Application Guidelines
ArmGrout Inject PU1 is a complete system used for:
- Void filling
- Leak sealing in concrete or masonry structures
- Leak sealing in sandy soils
The reaction time of ArmGrout Inject 1 can be adjusted from 30 seconds to 12 minutes by varying the catalyst dosage between 2% and 10%. On contact with water, it forms a hydrophobic, semi-flexible polyurethane foam with excellent chemical resistance.
