Description
ShaliCryl 215 is a single-component, UV-resistant, high-build elastomeric acrylic exterior waterproofing coating. It provides excellent anti-carbonation protection, quick-setting performance, and durable, flexible, water-resistant and water-repellent properties to effectively resist moisture attack and extend the life of structures.

Application Methodology
Surface Preparation
- Remove all loose and foreign materials, if any, by a wash with a jet of air / water.
- Repair structural defects before application of ShaliCryl® 215.
- Fill voids and undulation area with Polymer Mortar made out of ShaliSBR Latex, Water, Cement and Sand in the Ratio of 1:1:5:12.5.
- Fill cracks up to 3 mm with PlastiSeal and cracks over 3 mm with PlastiSeal P after opening the crack to a “V” cut.
- In case of any poor plaster surface in existence (for old building), remove the same and correct with new cement: sand in the ratio of 1:4 admixed with ShaliPlast® IW @ 200 ml / bag of cement.
- Allow it to cure for at least 10 days.
Primer Application
- For fresh painting:
- Prime the prepared surface with ShaliPrime® WB @ 8 – 10 m² / L (theoretical coverage).
- Allow it to dry.
Material Preparation
- Stir ShaliCryl® 215 by a slow speed mixture fitted with a suitable mixing paddle.
- Add stainer slowly to get the desired shade.
- After stirring, wait for the product to settle in order to let entrapped air escape.
Application of Material
- Allow it to dry for 6 – 8 hrs.
- Apply first coat of ShaliCryl® 215 over the prepared / primed surface @ 155 ml / m².
- Apply second coat of ShaliCryl® 215 without dilution over dried first coat @ 155 ml / m² and allow it to dry.
- Do not undertake any further work over the coated area within 72 hrs of final coat.
- Optionally apply a coat of ShaliCryl TC 100 E @ 200 ml / m² to get final DFT of 200 – 210µ to have higher service life of the coating.
- For high water repellency, apply ShaliCryl® TC 100 ES @ 120 ml / m² over the base coat of ShaliCryl® 215.
Health & Safety
- For information and advice on the safe handling, storage and disposal of chemical products, users shall
refer to the most recent Material Safety Data Sheet. - Avoid contact with skin / eyes and avoid swallowing.
- Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour.
- Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection.
- In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do
not use solvent to clean the contacted area. - In case of eye contact, wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
- If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
Storage and Shelf Life
- Best before 12 months from the date of manufacture, when stored in cool and dry place at original, unopened condition.
